Spring Break in Jamaica - SocialiteTravel.com

If you are like millions of other American college students, you look forward to spring break. So far, your year at college has been filled with classes, stressful homework assignments, and grueling tests. If you want to get away, let lose, and have fun on your upcoming spring break, you should choose your destination wisely. There are hundreds of popular spring break destinations, many of which are right in or near the United States. One you should closely examine is the island of Jamaica, located in the Caribbean.

Right about now, you may be asking yourself, what makes Jamaica the perfect spring break destination? For starters, there is the weather. As previously stated, Jamaica is located in the Caribbean. This area is known for its beautiful tropical weather. On average, temperatures range in the mid to upper 70s and 80 plus degrees is common in the summer. Jamaica does have a rainy season, but when that rain arrives it is nothing like what most Americans experience at home. It is all but guaranteed that you will get beautiful weather when on a Jamaica spring break vacation.

Next, there are the beautiful beaches. Jamaica beaches are some of the best in the world. You get warm and clear waters with white sandy beaches. What more could you ask for? These beaches are literally picture perfect. The greatest benefit of gaining access to Jamaica beaches is the related activities. Whether you want to jump in the water and enjoy a swim or spend your day lounging by the shoreline you can do so in style. In addition, popular beach activities include scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, and waterskiing.

Most importantly, there are all-inclusive resorts. All-inclusive resorts in Jamaica come highly rated and recommended. This is due to their inclusions. When staying at an inclusive resort, the total cost of your stay includes your room, food, drinks, tips, qualifying airport transfers, and some forms of onsite entertainment. For example, if your beachfront resort includes the cost of snorkeling gear, you don’t have to pay extra to rent elsewhere. Many spring break travelers who purchase all-inclusive travel packages find themselves saving money in the end. The more inclusions you use, the more money you save.

JAMAICA - Once you go, you know

In keeping with all-inclusive resorts, they simplify the process of planning a trip. In addition to your food, drinks, tips, airport transfers, onsite entertainment, and room, airfare can be included too. Essentially, one travel plan books most of your trip. You are a college student. You have a busy life. Whether it be taking classes, studying for tests, volunteering on campus, working a part-time job, or socializing with friends, you don’t have days or weeks to plan a Jamaica vacation. Luckily, you don’t have to when you opt for an all-inclusive travel package and an all-inclusive Jamaica resort.

As for choosing your resort, you have many options. There are many all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. What resort should you choose? There are themed resorts. Since you are in college, age restrictions should not be a problem. This basically gives you the freedom to stay at any resort on the island; however, you may want to avoid family resorts. These are resorts with scheduled activities for young children, onsite playgrounds, and well-advertised childcare services. Part of the fun on spring break is letting lose, having a good time, flirting with strangers, and drinking. You don’t want to do this with a family of four looking over your shoulder the entire time. Adult only resorts, those that prohibit children under the age of 14, 16, or 18, are advised for your type of Caribbean vacation; spring break.

Finally, the biggest reason why your spring break trip should be a Jamaica Caribbean vacation is the scheduled events. Jamaica is a popular spring break destination. In these popular destinations, you find many scheduled events that are catered to college students just like yourself. Two popular bars and restaurants that are well-known for their spring break events include Margaritaville and Risky Business. Risky Business is located in the resort community of Negril and Margaritaville has locations in Negril, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay. Via: Melissa Aldridge

Jetset to Ibiza - SocialiteTravel.com

If you think that Miami is the top party destination of the world, better think again. You probably haven’t heard of Ibiza. There are already plenty of songs about this particular island, where the theme is not just partying but having a great time. That is why there are many people around the globe who will save their hard-earned money just to have a clubbing holiday here in Ibiza.

Before booking a flight, see to it that you go to Ibiza during its clubbing season, which lasts from the month of May until the month of October. However, the clubbing season here in Ibiza is at its peak during June to September. If you want to avoid the sudden increase in prices at the clubs, do not travel to Ibiza during August. The island is too crowded, since many love to experience the best of the clubbing season. During this time, it is not just the clubs that are filled with people waiting to have a great time. Even the beaches here in Ibiza are also packed with crowds. It is usually hard to find the perfect spot – or even just a small space where you can sit down and relax.

Music and dance lovers could definitely live with the lifestyle that Ibiza has to offer. But to have the best clubbing holiday here in Ibiza, you should go to the most popular clubs in the island where most young people can be seen every night during the whole clubbing season. This includes the Pacha, El Divino, Amnesia, Eden, Heaven, and Love. More often than not, these are also the clubs that are considered to be the most expensive clubs in Ibiza. Many celebrities from different parts of the globe are also seen here in these clubs. However, there are also other places that you will surely enjoy, since there are more than a hundred clubs in Ibiza to choose from.

On the other hand, if you are here to party hard with the stags, there are also several strip clubs  that you can visit at any time of the night. Some of the strip clubs that are popular here in Ibiza include Beverly Ibiza, Blue Rose, Pure Platinum, and Glamour Ibiza. Without a doubt, guys will have a very great time – especially if they catch a glimpse of the gorgeous girls in these strip clubs.

Bar-hopping is one of the most popular activities here in Ibiza. And it would be really difficult, as well as expensive, if you pay for a taxi or hire car so that you may go from one place to another to get the best clubbing experience on the island. That is why there are several ‘disco buses’ that you must watch out for.

It would really benefit you if you book and buy club tickets online before arriving here in Ibiza. This is to make sure that you have a spot at the club of your choice, so the trip will be worth it. There are numerous online agents that will guarantee you the club tickets that you want. Via: Ivor Trumpet

The New Improved Eco-Surf Spring Break In Costa Rica

February 15, 2009
Witches Rock - Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Witches Rock - Tamarindo, Costa Rica

When most people think about spring break, images of drunken teens guzzling draft in Daytona Beach nightclubs come to mind. Which begs the question, “do you come home relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to get back to work?” Nope. You come home burnt out, malnourished and embarrassed about lifting up your top for the Girls Gone Wild cameraman, who seemed a whole lot cooler when you were wasted.

Try something different this year – your parents will be proud of you. Costa Rica has everything in place for exotic spring break vacations that break the mold. Package deals range from around $300 – $800 inclusive and discounts for groups are usually offered by most tour companies. Select the Costa Rica Spring Break package that best suits you. Forget Daytona, I’m talking about rain forest canopy tours, snorkeling with tropical fish, swimming under waterfalls, hiking to active volcanoes, and my personal favorite: surfing perfect waves! All this in one week. Believe it or not it’s possible and not only that, it’s easier to plan and book your trip than ever. Costa Rica has an established eco-tourism industry with exotic spring break vacations already packaged and ready to go. Try Vacation City, Witch’s Rock Surf Camp, Sun Splash Tours just to name a few.

Start getting stoked to catch your first wave in the surfer’s paradise of Tamarindo, hike to the breathtaking Arenal Volcano, the heavenly Monteverde Cloud Forest, and finish with a visit to the pristine rain forest beach of Manuel Antonio. Costa Rica is an incredibly bio-diverse country, and on your travels you can expect to see giant turtles, crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas, dolphins, parrots, and maybe even a giant sloth if you’re lucky. Costa Rica has established numerous protected areas throughout the country, so you can enjoy the wildlife and feel good that these beautiful and exotic animals will be around for future generations. The sheer natural beauty of Costa Rica’s pristine landscapes, bio-diverse wildlife, and its native people (tico’s) culture, still remains unspoiled and sets the stage for spring break travelers who appreciate nature.

Have you always wanted to learn to surf? Costa Rica’s sand bottom beaches are some of the most consistent in the world. You are pretty much guaranteed to get waves during the march break surf season, and your surf instructors have it down to a science. Experienced surf camp operators like Witch’s Rock Surf Camp will provide everything you need – surfboards, leashes, rash guards, waterproof sunscreen and the best instruction available. Even get pictures or video of you and your friends “ripping” on your spring break surf trip to bring home to your friends and family.

The best part of the whole experience is that Costa Rica is a very safe country to travel in. You get the benefit of being escorted on your entire trip with pickup from the airport in Liberia or San Jose. From there you will be shuttled to your exotic locations for the next week. Your accommodations, travel from place to place, and adventure tour packages are already part of the package. Your tour guides have the local knowledge to take you to the best places and local hot-spots and events, while keeping you out of harms way at the same time. Costa Rica is the ultimate exotic locale with its blend of culture, adventure and beauty. Via: Kelcey Parker

Dubai: the Perfect Vacation Destination

February 7, 2009
Ski Dubai

Ski Dubai

The revamped Dubai may be young but it is full of everything tourists want from a great vacation. The finest shops and restaurants line streets of Dubai and there are so many things to do that a week or two will not be enough to get to them all. Dubai has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

Ride the Dunes

If you have ever taken a ride in a dune buggy, you have experienced a small taste of what is awaiting you in the desert of Dubai. When you get in an SUV driven by a specially trained desert driver, you are embarking on the experience of a lifetime. Dune bashing, or riding up and down the dunes at high speed for several hours and then ending the evening with dinner and dancing is the perfect way to combine adventure and romance. If dinner and music is not to your to your liking, you may continue to ride the dunes well into the evening. Dune bashing is a favorite attraction in Dubai.

Ski the Great Indoors

Who ever would have thought there would be skiing in Dubai? Who ever would have thought there would be skiing anywhere that is located inside a building? But there is and it is a fabulous experience. The Mall of Emirates contains one of the largest ski centers and rents out all the equipment you need. The temperature in the ski area is -4 degrees Celsius – enough to keep the snow from melting and the fun from ending. As if that were not enough, a new indoor ski center opens up this year — the Dubai Sunny Mountain Ski Dome in Dubailand.

From Snow to Sand – Dubai’s Beaches

If warm sand, water and beaches are more to your liking, Dubai offers unbelievable beaches. The water temperatures average 22 degrees Celsius in the winter and 35 in the summer. Be sure to use sunscreen when spending time on Dubai’s beautiful beaches. If diving is on your mind, Fujairah, Sharjah and Khor Fakkan are less than two hours away. Dive the coral reefs and spend time mingling with the marine life living off the coast of Dubai.

Cruise the Creek

Shipping once defined the very existence of Dubai. Ports that once served African, Indian and Middle Eastern trading ships are now viewable from a fascinating cruise down Dubai Creek. It is not just the ports that are interesting. The Dubai Creek Cruise will take you past numerous historical buildings that go back hundreds of years.

Sand Golfing

Don’t let a lack of green grass stop you from enjoying a round of golf. Dubai thumbs its nose at convention and offers tourists the chance to play golf in the sand. Other golf courses penalize for balls that land in the sand. Here, landing in sand is par for the course – so to speak.

Up, Up and Away in a Beautiful Balloon

Who hasn’t dreamed of taking a ride in a hot air balloon? A sunrise or sunset ride through the skies above the mountains and deserts of Dubai can be a dream come true. After a day of fun, experience beautiful Dubai from the skies. Via: Huzaili Aris
